As the year comes to a close, it’s time to look back. From expanding internationally to launching new features, 2025 has been a year full of growth and innovation. Here’s a look at what we’ve accomplished at ParkMyBike.
We’ve officially expanded to the UK! And not just with one location; this year we’ve unlocked 20 new locations, including Bristol, Shrewsbury, and Yate. On top of that, we’ve launched twelve new smart lockers in the Belgian town of Peer.
These international additions mark an important milestone in our mission to make bike parking easier for everyone, everywhere. And the good news? There’s more to come very soon!
Our recent expansions have been made possible thanks to ongoing collaborations with bike parking manufacturers Falco UK and Epsilon Cities. We’re proud to work closely with them and our other partners, including Velo-Boxx and Armada Mobility, and look forward to welcoming more partners in the near future.
We’ve made bike parking management even easier with updates to the Admin Dashboard.
Users can now easily get a subscription for their own parking spot in the app. If spots are full, they’re added to a waitlist and notified as soon as one becomes available. With this, managers can offer the subscriptions and manage the waitlist directly in the dashboard.
To support our international expansion, we now support French across the app, dashboard, and website. Additionally, we’ve made it easier to add any language in the future. So if you have a specific need, let us know!
Cyclists can now see the status of their reservation or rental directly on their home or lock screens with persistent notifications. The notification will show a live countdown, remaining time, and real-time cost updates. This helps them stay informed and avoid forgetting their reservations.
We’ve also made developments to support physical key management. This means that providers of bike parking can still keep their physical keys, while managing everything digitally! You can find more information about this solution here.
We’re developing our own Bluetooth® Low Energy controller for smart bike parking. This will allow direct communication with smartphones via Bluetooth®, with low power consumption, instant secure access, and easy scalability for larger facilities. We plan to release this in 2026.
We’re also exploring integration with iLOQ, a lock that opens via NFC using energy drawn directly from the phone. It’s doesn’t require batteries nor maintenance, making it ideal for remote locations in any weather. If this sounds interesting to you, we’d love to hear your thoughts!
Thank you to everyone who’s joined us on this journey so far, whether as a cyclist, partner, or supporter. We’re excited about what’s ahead and can’t wait to keep growing together. Follow us on LinkedIn to stay updated.
Kind regards,
The ParkMyBike team
